I use it because I needed to meet new people, and I find the concept of this site very good :) (+ meeting people from other countries is always an interesting experience :))

I use because I like meeting new people with similar interests, different points of view on certain situations and to learn more about different cultures/ what life is like in different parts of the world. 

I use it because it gives me a chance to connect with others in a way that other social media platforms don't offer. It's more about sharing who we are rather than just our opinions.

I saw it on reddit and thought it was a cool idea. The delay really forces you to make the most of each letter so they count for more and they're more exciting than just a text.

It helps me practice my french! I also love meeting new people. The best part is the delay time in the letters, it kind of forces the conversation to be deeper.

I'm using GetAPenpal because of the semi-mimicry of actual snail mail. I quite enjoy writing letters to mail to people, but many don't quite have that same sentiment. I've never had so many penpals at once before, so this has been a very exciting experience for me, and I hope for them, too. I think especially with this hooplah with the postal service, this will help potential penpals be more open to the idea of having one, which in turn makes everyone happy!

I would walk around my city and look at the people, fully acknowledging that every person I met was just as much a person as me with their own secrets, mysteries, stories, experiences -- a whole world inside of them. Even with my closest friends, I only get part of the story. I want to know people on a deeper level than that, and this is a good avenue for it. So far everyone who has written me back has been really awesome!

I started writing letters to people as a method to write more consistently, but I've met some incredibly interesting and amazing people along the way. I like GetAPenPal especially because the online format preserves the whimsicality of writing letters in an expediant process. I also like the social media aspect of the site that allows you to get to know a little bit about each person before writing to them. I tell all my non-GetAPenPal-users about this site!! I wish my best to the developers!

I would like to know more about the everyday life of the countries that I am interested to move or for providing information for mine to anybody :)
